Cover Letter的作用不是“通知编辑你投稿了”，而是“推销你的论文”。编辑每天收到几十上百封投稿，每封只花30秒扫一眼。你必须在前两句话里用一个“钩子”钩住他。今天教你三种钩子写法。
钩子1：挑战主流观点
编辑喜欢看到“颠覆性”的研究，即使最后没颠覆，但至少有意思。
句式：“Contrary to the prevailing view that X causes Y, our study provides evidence that ……”
（与主流观点X导致Y相反，我们的证据表明……）
中文：“不同于以往认为‘短视频降低注意力’的结论，本研究发现，在特定条件下短视频反而能提升后续任务的专注度。”
钩子2：填补明显的理论空白
句式：“While extensive research has examined A, the role of B has been largely overlooked. We show that B is a critical moderator.”
（已有大量研究考察了A，但B的作用被严重忽视。我们发现B是一个关键的调节变量。）
中文：“尽管学习投入研究已非常丰富，但情绪投入这一维度长期被忽略。本研究首次区分了情绪投入与行为投入的不同预测效应。”
钩子3：解决现实紧迫问题
句式：“With the rapid adoption of [policy/technology], there is an urgent need to understand its impact on [outcome]. Our study provides the first empirical evidence from a randomized controlled trial.”
（随着[政策/技术]的快速普及，迫切需要了解其对[结果]的影响。本研究提供了首个随机对照试验的实证证据。）
中文：“‘双减’政策实施后，课后服务效果成为社会焦点。本研究基于对12所学校的追踪调查，首次量化了课后服务类型与学业成绩的因果关系。”
Cover Letter的标准结构（配合钩子）
第1段：钩子+投稿声明
用上面三种钩子之一写出最吸引人的一句话，然后说“We submit this manuscript for consideration in [Journal Name].”
第2段：核心发现与创新
用3-4句话扩展钩子。说清楚：研究了什么、怎么研究的、最重要的发现是什么、为什么这个发现重要。不要复制摘要，要用更生动的语言。
第3段：与期刊的契合度
“This work aligns well with your journal’s recent focus on [topic] (e.g., the paper by Smith et al., 2023).” 引用该期刊近两年的一篇相关论文，证明你做足了功课。
第4段：标准声明
“This manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal. All authors have approved this submission.”
第5段：感谢与署名
“Thank you for your consideration. Correspondence can be addressed to ……”
钩子范例对比
❌ 无钩子：“Please find our manuscript entitled ‘The Effect of Positive Feedback on Student Motivation’ for consideration.”
✅ 有钩子：“While positive feedback is widely believed to boost motivation, our study challenges this assumption: we find that positive feedback only works when students perceive the feedback as sincere. This interaction has been overlooked in prior research.”
三个注意事项

不要过度承诺：钩子必须基于你的真实发现。如果说“首次证明因果关系”，结果你用的是相关数据，会被秒拒。

不要写太长：Cover Letter最好控制在一页之内，300-400字。编辑没时间读长信。

不要提你的身份：除非期刊要求匿名，否则不要写“我是硕士生”。用研究本身说话。
